## The short version

**OVERVOLT collects nothing.** It has no accounts, no telemetry, no analytics, and no advertising. It does not send your data to us or to anyone else. Everything OVERVOLT does happens locally on your own PC.

## What data OVERVOLT processes (all on your device)

To show you your dashboard and apply optimizations, OVERVOLT reads information from your own computer, including:

- Hardware and OS details (CPU, GPU, RAM, motherboard, BIOS, storage, display, and the network adapter name / local IP shown in the System tab).
- Live performance metrics (CPU/GPU/RAM load, temperatures, clocks, disk and network throughput, running process names).
- Your saved preferences (themes, boost choices, setup profiles, game profiles).

All of this is read and displayed **locally**. **None of it is transmitted off your device.** OVERVOLT's dashboard runs on a server bound to `127.0.0.1` (your own machine, loopback only) that is not reachable from the internet or your local network.

## Where your settings are stored

Your preferences and profiles are saved as plain files on your own PC (under your Windows user profile, e.g. `%APPDATA%\GpuMonitor` and `%LOCALAPPDATA%\OVERVOLT`). You can delete these at any time. We never receive them.

## We do not collect or share

- We do **not** collect personal information.
- We do **not** use cookies, tracking, analytics SDKs, or advertising identifiers.
- We do **not** sell, rent, or share any data, because we don't collect any.

## Links to third-party tools and websites

OVERVOLT can, **only when you click a button**, open external pages in your browser (for example NVIDIA, AMD, Intel, ASUS, RyzenAdj, Special K, or other tuning-tool downloads), or launch other applications you have installed. Those third parties operate under their own privacy policies and terms; we are not responsible for them. OVERVOLT itself does not transmit anything to them.

## Children's privacy

OVERVOLT is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children. Because we collect no data, we do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.

## Security

Because OVERVOLT keeps everything local and transmits nothing, there is no server-side data to breach. The local dashboard is protected against access by web pages and other processes (loopback-only binding, request-origin checks, and a per-launch access token).

## Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and post the new version with the application and on our website.
